New Life

For the next 2 years I will be attending Azusa Pacific University to get my Master of Science in College Counseling and Student Development. As a part of this program I will be working in the Office of the Provost at APU for Dr. Michael Whyte.

I hope to continue doing some photography while I am in school, but I will also be using this blog to give updates on my personal/school life. I encourage you to add my blog to your RSS feed or bookmark it to continue getting updates from me. I feel this is much easier then trying to contact everyone individually.

Also, if you are interested in more of my photography you can visit my new website: JKR Photography.

Jon Stoddard: KTG Denver

While I was in Colorado I did some head shots for Jon Stoddard for his new business: KTG Denver.

Colorado Trip 3...I think

I went to Colorado a lot this past year... a lot! My last trip there, which was in April, I stayed for a month. Katelyn and I did a lot during this time including hanging out with Lisa, her husband John, and her cousin Rachel. I had my first Geo Cashing experience in Downtown Denver, which was so fun!

Katelyn and I also went to the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver. It was interesting. I've never been a huge fan of contemporary art, but there were some neat collections:

We also went to the Natural History Museum!

Mandy

A few months ago I had the privilege of giving my good friend Mandy a few tips with her photography. What better way to learn then to be the guinea pig! BTW, she is freakin' gorgeous!! Here are a few images of her, check out the eyes!

Justin with a Bald Head!

Justin is a Dance Major at UCI. Last week he was part of a production called "The Book of Tink." While I didn't get to see the performance, I heard it was very interesting. One of the things Justin had to do was shave his head. These photos are a tribute to the bald head he has had the past few weeks! Enjoy!

This is The Daniels' dog Sadie. She is a menace, but today she was super cute and posed for me while I tried out my new 50mm 1.4 lens!

Jon & Alicia

About 2 or 3 years ago I was photographing the Hansel family and Alicia told me, "Kate, whenever I get married you are going to be my photographer." My response to Alicia was, "Alicia, I'm not a wedding photographer, I don't know about that, let's wait until you are actually going to get married before we make that decision." About a year ago I got from Alicia telling me that she was getting married and that I was the photographer. There wasn't really a question involved, but more of a statement. Since our conversation three years ago I had done a few wedding and felt better about taking hers on. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day. Enjoy.
